Preparing your walls
For an air-tight seal to be formed between the suction cup and the surface it bonds to, the surface must be smooth and non-porous. The smooth surface of bathroom wall tiles work well with suction cups. Placing the suction cup over the grout between bathroom tiles, however, will result in an inability to create suction. Likewise, any textured surface will also produce a weakened bond or prevent the suction cup from bonding to the surface at all.
A clean surface is an absolute necessity for a secure suction cup bond, and even minute traces of bathroom oils, dirt or soap film on smooth shower walls can weaken or interfere with suction cups usage. Carefully clean the surface with an appropriate cleaning product before applying the suction cup. Dry the wall around the suction cup after sticking it in place to help keep the suction cup from sliding downward. A few customers have cleaned their surfaces by rubbing in alcohol - but we would advise you test the surface first to make sure the rubbing alcohol will not harm it.
The shower head holder attaches by simply pressing down on the tab lever. This suction cup instantly locks to provide a strong grip. To remove the shower head holder, simply flip up the tab. It's that easy!
